Salary Cap Survivor FAQ

How are tiebreakers used?

When determining final standings for a contest or when determining what teams advance in rounds where ties do not advance, the following tiebreakers are used:

  • Farthest round advanced
  • Wins in your final round
  • Total wins for the contest
  • Total run differential for the contest
  • Run differential in your final round
  • Runs scored in your final round
  • Dice roll

Why can’t I play guys out of position?

We are intentionally creating a different strategic challenge from the dynasty game. While our season-long format allows extreme flexibility with players kept for their entire careers, the contest format is designed to force tougher roster decisions.

We believe these limitations actually increase creativity by forcing managers to adapt to new constraints rather than just relying on their familiar game approaches.

I finalized my roster and now I want to change it, can I?

Sorry but no, those are your players for the week - make the most of them. You'll be able to make lots of adjustments to your team, but your roster is LOCKED IN.

Why is EN so low on pitchers?

There is a wider range of EN in contest pitchers than typical leagues to again force tough decisions on how you choose to run your team. You may find you need to focus more attention on your bullpen than you are accustomed to, or if you choose to still value EN over other ratings, you will have to make tradeoffs at other positions.
