The Umpire Strikes Back - Frequently Asked Questions

What EXACTLY happens to my league on June 8th?

On June 8th, existing leagues will get these default settings immediately

Sim Model: CSFBL Classic
Scouting: Scouting On (full allocation leagues will have scouting off)
Potentials: Individual Ratings (new leagues will default to Summary ratings)
Draft Order: Standard Draft Order
Salary Cap: Unchanged

If your league wants different settings for Scouting or Potentials immediately, contact citizenclone by PM or @Clone on Discord before 6/8. Changes to Sim Model or adding a Lottery will take effect the next preseason after 6/8, and Salary Cap can be changed at any time.

I don't know what options to choose?!?

For full discussion, please follow the links at the top of this post. Quick reference: Closest options to what you currently have?
Full Allocation Leagues -> Scouting Off
No Scout Leagues -> Scouting On, Summary Potentials
Hard Salary Cap Leagues -> (at least) $10 million cap reduction
Leagues with Tanking Penalties/Draft Lotteries -> Try our lottery based off the 2023 MLB Lottery

Traditional Leagues that want to change as little as possible -> CSFBL Classic Model (stadiums set to turf), Individual Potentials
Leagues looking for a bit of a change, but close to the same model -> Free Agency Era
Leagues that want to be at the bleeding edge of innovation -> Dead Ball Era, Scouting On, Summary Potentials, Lottery, Reduced Salary Cap

What happens to current allocations?

Leagues that are starting the regular seasons before 6/8, consider going to full allocations right now, as everyone will receive the same settings no matter what money went into drills/devs/scouting at beginning of the season.

What happens to the draft list on 6/8?

Leagues that will be drafting on 6/8, consider pausing the league before draft picks begin or download the list/grabbing screenshots for your league, as the views of the draft list will be different before/after the update.
